After rising in the previous quarter, following three consecutive quarterly decreases, the Q4 2024 Decisiv Commercial Vehicle Service Analysis Report shows that combined parts and labor costs fell by -1.6%. Lower costs in Q4 reflect an expected drop in service activity following traditionally higher pre-holiday freight volumes in the third quarter of each year. The latest Quarter-over-Quarter data also indicated decreases in parts costs of -1.5% and -1.9% in labor expenses, pointing to stabilizing parts prices and a replenished supply chain, and less turnover in the ranks of technicians.
